Prior to launching his career in real estate, Kingsley was a professional pianist and enjoyed many highlights, including playing with an orchestra at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Concert Hall. As a teenager, Kingsley spent summers surfing at Queenscliff - by the age of 18 he was on the pro surfing circuit. At his peak, he was ranked number 16 in the world. After retiring from professional competition, Kingsley bought the Sunshine Surfing shop in Manly – a local ‘surfie’ institution. While in retail he developed his management and sales skills even further, later prompting a career move into real estate.

His first port of call was Cunninghams as he had always been impressed by the company's integrity and liked that it was a family-run business with an emphasis on team work. He has achieved many milestones in his eight years at Cunninghams, including the record sale price for a ground floor apartment in Balgowlah at $2.8 million in 2007 and selling twelve properties in Bungaloe Ave, Balgowlah, within a 4 year period.  In 2011, he was successful in securing the highest sale to date for Cunninghams Property - for an exclusive waterfront home in Cove Avenue, Manly.
